Will the facility have an impact on the environment?

Low emission values are guaranteed in our power plant with the DeNOx and Flue Gas Sulfur Purification Technologies and Electrostatic Dust Sedimentation Filters that are going to be used. Ash and gypsum, which are the main wastes generated during electricity production, will be used as raw materials in cement and gypsum factories, as is done in Germany and all other developed countries, and will be regained as economic value.

As an expression of environmental awareness, the technology to be applied in our power plant has been selected to ensure flue gas emissions at lower limit values than those set forth by both the current Large Combustion Plants Directive and the European Union Environmental Legislation. Our power plant has achieved a first in the world, especially in terms of ash emissions.
